Welcome to Swimmingly
We have been established in the City of Winnipeg for 4 and half years now. In that time we have grown from 10 swimmers and 10 volunteer instructors, to almost 300 swimmers and 150 volunteer instructors in Winnipeg, Brandon and Dauphin.
At Swimmingly we provide one-on-one swimming instruction to children of all ages, swimming ability, and intellectual/physical disabilities. We do all this in a fun and safe environment that is tailored to your child’s goals and specific ability.
Through our fundraising events each year we are able to keep the cost of lessons to $2 per lesson! As our organization grows, we continue to plan events outside of the water and we hope you will join us for these activities in addition to weekly our swimming lessons.
Please remember that our instructors are all volunteers. It is important that you understand they are spending their Saturday evenings with your children. Please thank them and complement them. Do not hesitate to have a short chat with them at the beginning of a lesson if you have any specific expectations or requests for that day. Please also feel free to ask them any questions that may arise at the end of the lesson.
In order to stay up to date with your child’s lessons, announcements and/or other exciting programs we offer, please ensure you have provided us with an email you check regularly. Please also visit our website as we post updates and pictures – you might even see your child featured!
Finally, if your child is unable to make a lesson for any reason, it is crucial that you inform us by text, phone call or email. We need to tell your child’s volunteer that they will not be needed that day. Pool-specific phone numbers and emails will be disseminated once your child enters the program.
